Milled Ferrosilicon 15 Powder FAQ     Q1: What makes FeSi15 milled powder different from FeSi45 and FeSi75? A: Although all of them are milled ferrosilicon powders, they are used for different purposes. FeSi15 Powder : is mainly used in DMS because it provides the density needed for mineral processing. FeSi45 & FeSi75 Powder : contain much more silicon and are mainly used in welding and steelmaking as a deoxidizer.They are also harder and generally offers better wear resistance than FeSi15 in DMS process. A: Because FeSi15 has a high iron content, it provides a naturally heavier specific gravity.
