Once your coil goes past 3mm the knife shafts the bed and the tension system all need to be rebuilt for the cut. That’s where the 1100mm metal coil slitting line comes in. This machine handles material from 1.0mm up to 6.0mm in steel, carbon steel or aluminum with coils weighing between 4 and 30 tons. The demands on the spindles and frame are very different from those of a thin-gauge machine. This line runs at production speed—between 150 and 250 meters per minute—while still maintaining an edge especially on the thinner end. It’s built for the processor who cuts coils for tube mills, structural profiles, automotive stampings and appliance panels. Success is measured in edge burr, camber and how little material is wasted. The 1100mm width and 1.0 to 6.0mm thickness range cover the common slitting jobs in one machine. At the end the shafts and bearings take the cut force without bending. At the end the setup is tuned so that light strands don’t get over-tensioned. That balance, along wi…
