316/316L Stainless Steel Round Bar – Premium Product Introduction       1. Grade & Chemistry   AISI 316/316L is a molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless containing 16–18 % Cr, 10–14 % Ni and 2–3 % Mo. The added molybdenum raises the PREN to ≈ 24, giving the bar greatly improved resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-rich media. “316L” limits carbon to ≤0.03 %, eliminating sensitisation during welding; dual-certification 316/316L is standard.   2.
